If you come across an injured turtle get medical attention as soon as possible by contacting the Kawartha Turtle Trauma Centre IMMEDIATELY at 705-741-5000.  Link to their site is https://ontarioturtle.ca/  The Turtle Trauma Centre is located at 4-1434 Chemong Rd., Selwyn,ON K9J 6X2 (north of the Walmart on Chemong Rd.)

Information in the Turtle Times notes:  On August 16, the total number of turtles brought to our facility was close to 800 and includes 442 painted, 273 snapping, 38 Blanding's, 15 northern map, 6 wood, 4 eastern musk, and 1 spotted turtle. Of these, only 13 were ill or injured through natural causes, i.e. predation, and the remainder were hit by car, propeller, fish hook, etc.
